![]() ![]() Room Cleanliness - Not a luxury, not unkempt…right in the middle. ![]() This beach is not dog friendly, but Dog beach on West Cliff is less than a 5 min drive or 30 min walk away. (We have 2: 100lb German Shepherd and 85lb lab mix) Here’s a complete review to help you decide…I’ve flagged things to look out for… Stayed in room 308 - Classic King, partial ocean view (which was basically a full ocean view btw!) Location - directly across from Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk/beach/harbor. This is a great place to stay if you have pets, especially large dogs. It might help to start a family's stay with a clean floor. The amount of filth on the towel was disgusting. I finally mopped the floor myself on the third day with a wet towel. Still no floor cleaning, though they did come in and swap out towels (which wasn't needed - except for the super dirty bathroom floor towel). I was told it is hard to keep the floors clean because of the sand and proximity to the beach, but they would mop the floor for us. I asked two more times on the second morning and afternoon. No one even came to the room to provide toilet paper, let alone clean the floor. I asked to have the floor cleaned and toiletries replenished on the morning after our first night (I said no need for new towels) and was told someone would be there to clean. Nice people working there, but they failed to clean the laminated wood floor, which was filthy and blackened our feet on the first day. And bring a small fan for the window to bring in the ocean air. Bring extension cords and power strips, as outlets are limited.
